Community Trainings

Training in community settings including public forums, hospitals, and churches.

People in the communities of East Africa face the possibility of snakebite as they go about their daily tasks including gardening, herding of animals, walking from place to place, and even in their own homes and compounds. SCAN provides training in community settings to help people understand snakes and snake behaviors, plus what to do if bitten by a snake (first aid), the importance of antivenom therapy, and how to prevent snakebite by avoiding snakes.
