Check back here for the latest news and updates concerning our work. As trainings are completed we will post here to keep everyone fresh about our exciting projects.

Mary completed a training exercise for the environmental activism group Stand Up and Shout Out! She brought with her a brown house snake so the participants could touch a snake, some for the first time! She was given a standing ovation for her work!

Zablon is working with a church known as Grace Christian Ministries in Murera to develop a group of peer trainers that can continue to reach out to their community about snakebite prevention as a ministry of the church.

Zablon is introducing Sam to communities in Embu County where snakebite prevalence is high. Here Sam is talking to a man who fell asleep in his chair and woke up with a red spitting cobra in his lap! Fortunately, the man survived the encounter.

John raised awareness about snakes with 268 pupils and 10 teachers from Nyache Primary School in Wundanyi sub-county, Taita-Taveta County. This was the first time that any of the students had been taught about snakes and they were very receptive to learn with lots of questions. The teachers suggested that John return for an event that included the parents as well.
